Which stadium hosts India vs West Indies 3rd ODI?

The ICC's fixture card names PCA International Cricket Stadium, Ground A, New Chandigarh for the Saturday 3 October 2026, 2:00 PM IST third ODI. The Punjab Cricket Association also calls its location the New International Stadium, Mullanpur. Established ground coverage uses Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur. These are references to the new Mullanpur/New Chandigarh ground, not three separate matches.

Ground-name decoder

ICC match listing: PCA International Cricket Stadium, Ground A, New Chandigarh.

Association post: New International Stadium, Mullanpur.

Ground-name coverage: Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.

Not the same venue: the older I.S. Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali.

“Ground A” is part of the match listing; “Mullanpur” describes the locality; “New Chandigarh” is the venue label on BCCI's home-season fixture schedule. A generic search for “Mohali cricket stadium” can take a visitor to a different PCA ground, so use the exact name shown on your ticket or the organizer's latest advisory rather than a remembered landmark.

02

Why old Mohali is a different ground

ESPNcricinfo's Mullanpur ground report identifies the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh ground as PCA's new venue and separately describes the older, still-functional I.S. Bindra stadium in Mohali. The new venue is in Mullanpur on the outskirts of Chandigarh. Both are associated with PCA, which explains the ambiguous “PCA stadium” shorthand. The ICC's Ground A, New Chandigarh match label—not an unspecific “Mohali”—should be the primary navigation reference for this fixture.

That distinction is the reason for this standalone place-identity page. The ODI series hub has the result sequence, while the India viewing guide answers TV and streaming rights. Neither a route map nor a broadcaster detail is a substitute for checking the current match venue.

PCA traffic advisory: parking, gates and box office

A 30 September report describing PCA's match-day access advisory says the gates are due to open at 12:00 noon; a P4 parking-area box office is listed for 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. It routes prepaid/paid P4–P7 parking via Omaxe Chowk and sticker-designated P1–P3 via Marble Market Lights. The report calls the Show My Parking app a pre-booking option. These are reported organizer arrangements, not an assurance that a place, ticket or parking slot remains available when a reader arrives.

Use the entry point and gate on your actual ticket or parking permit, follow current traffic-police and PCA signs, and allow extra time. The advisory could change. We did not find a current official public-transit shuttle timetable, a ticket-gate map for every seating category or an official match-specific pitch notice, so this page does not manufacture them. It is not a sales or ticket-booking page.

04

What can and cannot be said about pitch and weather?

The match is scheduled for 2:00 PM IST in New Chandigarh. Past games at a ground are not a pitch report for a future ODI. Do not transfer statistics from the older Mohali stadium to the Mullanpur square; a toss, final XI and current ground inspection will matter more than a speculative score prediction. A general regional weather forecast likewise cannot guarantee conditions at the pitch at 2:00 PM. Consult the ICC match centre and any current local warning before travelling.

The third-ODI squad-change report confirms Prasidh Krishna is ruled out and Anshul Kamboj has joined the ODI squad, but does not turn that announcement into a prediction about conditions or the eleven starters. The series was already 2–0 to India at our 2 October check. This venue page intentionally concentrates on identity and practical access, not the scorecard or future result.

Ground questions, source dates and related reporting

Is the 3rd ODI at the old I.S. Bindra stadium in Mohali?

No. The ICC match card lists Ground A in New Chandigarh. The Mullanpur/Maharaja Yadavindra Singh ground is separate from the older Mohali I.S. Bindra stadium.

Are Mullanpur and New Chandigarh different match venues?

No. For this fixture the PCA's Mullanpur description and ICC's New Chandigarh Ground A listing refer to the new venue; check your ticket and latest organizer directions for entry.

When are the gates scheduled to open?

A 30 September report of PCA's advisory listed noon for gates. Check the latest PCA, ticket and traffic-police instructions because match-day arrangements may change.
